What a wonderful programme. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The passion of everyone involved shone through and I thought it hit the balance about right between entertainment and education. It wasn't scared to give slightly more in-depth, technical details when necessary like the names of the chemicals that react to provide the glow-worm's glow (luciferin and luciferase).

I've seen some pretty big (I thought) wood ant nests but I was gobsmacked at the size of the one in the programme. I had no idea they built them that large.

And there's nine more of these to go - wheee!

P.s. I've set my recorder up for two hours between 2 and 4 pm - NEVER trust the BBC to keep to the puublished schedule, particularly not in the daytime.
