Bird(s) of the day would have to be Red Grouse......absolutely loads of them!I've been out for a walk across the moors and along Derwent Edge today and can't believe how many there were. They're so noisy too!
Oh, nearly forgot...
As I got back to Fairholmes car park, I heard a sort of tapping noise in a tree.
I scanned with my bino's thinking there might be a Woody in it.
Then I caught sight of a little head poking out of a nest box which was fixed to the trunk. It was a Nuthatch!
Not sure what he was up to. Maybe hiding nuts for later!
