I've got the Sigma 70 - 300mm DL macro super, its basically the same lens but for 35mm SLRS.
I have tried it on my friends Nikon D70 recently and the results were brilliant, from 300mm telephoto right down to 2:1 macro.
The build quality of sigma lenses is excellent.
My advice is get it, you won't be disapointed
