The young crescent moon will pass-in-front-of [occult] planet Venus in a rare event next Monday afternoon Dec 1st
From London it dissapears behind the dark [hidden] limb of the moon at 1547UT/GMT at sunset and reappears at 1716UT/GMT - times vary slightly throughout UK.
As it starts at sunset the sky will be quite bright but a pair of binoculars will show this rare event - look low down on the SSW horizon at an altitude of only 14 degrees - it's best seen from an elevated location for a clear horizon.

You should pick-up Venus as a bright star just left of the moon with maybe planet Jupiter just above - see simulation below.
90 minutes later in dusk Venus pops back into view from behind the moon now very low in the SW at 9 degrees altitude.
