I suspect that you may have answered your own question; this looks like a
Clitocybe species . . . the books are full of quite a number of these "greyish-brown or brownish-grey?" jobs and they tend to appear towards the end of the season
I have struggled with these in the past and am often baffled - different experts seem to have different ideas on where one species ends and another starts; they don't have the sort of objective characters I feel I need to name somnething with a degree of confidence . . . so I'm afraid I have to leave it there
