Another from the Forest of Dean on 20th November. There were quite a lot of these little fellas scattered under Larch and as far as I could see growing from the soil/needle litter. The caps appeared to be flat and fading/drying out paler from the outside edge in as they aged: the gills were greyish-brown. (Or brownish-grey?) I know I should have paid more attention to detail while I was there but Himself was getting decidedly er...fed up with my constantly disappearing into the undergrowth and generally lagging behind!
I have looked all through the A-Z and in Jordan but (and here I'm probably once again missing the blindingly obvious
) can't find a clue as to what they may be. Can anyone please enlighten me - at least point me in the right direction? Pretty please??
