Hi guys, I saw mention of a really early start there. Just to let you know that I was there on the 23rd Dec last year and got there for dawn at about 8am. I was quite disappointed that the sun didn't really hit the seals near the fenceline for about another hour as the sandbank got in the way of the sun. I could see that it was shining on the seals out at sea but not on those close to the fence (and the bank). 'Course you're going a month earlier so that'll affect the position of the sun in the sky a bit so you may be in luck.
Might give you an extra hour in bed and I wished I'd not bothered getting up at 5:15am!
