Depends how big (and how deep
) your pockets are but I'd go for Collins Tree Guide -"the most complete field guide to the trees of Britain and Europe" with an RRP of £25 but doubtless available much cheaper on the web.
It's about A5 size and 3cms thick so not too big to carry around.
