| Re: Waxwings A few years back (maybe 4 years ago?) in a big Waxwing invasion there was a large flock of Waxwings feasting on Cotoneaster berries in a square within spitting distance of the Post Office Tower.
In good years at least a few are seen in the London area- check overground stations where there are lots of ornamental berried shrubs, supermarket car parks, etc. They are tame birds + unbothered by people . Basically they will turn up anywhere + often not in a typical birding place. My last London birds were 6 feeding in Sorbus in a busy Putney high street about 3 years ago. |
