| Re: Foreigners I'd say "yes" put them in if they are established in the wild. A good UK flora (say Clive Stace) will say whether a species is native or a garden escape. It will ignore the many domesticated species that are not normally found outside gardens. That seems a good guideline. In an arboretum, you'll find (probably) more non-native species but also some good examples of native trees. Such places are usually terribly neat, so getting a variety of pics of the whole tree, the bark, the leaves etc is probably much easier than in a forest. The arboretum should have them all labelled with full common and scientific names, with the country in which they originated. |
