A warm welcome to WAB from me also.
You certainly have one over on me for a start. I have never seen an Linnet in any of our gardens.
As has been said, this is a very addictive site so it won't be long before you knock up your first 1,000 posts.
There are enough experts on here on a wide range of subjects from birds to fungi etc so ask away anything that you are not sure about.
