I stumbled across WAB while searching Google to try and identify a newcomer to my garden. I didn't actually find it here, but the site looked interesting so I decided to join you all.
Oh, by the way, the bird I identified was a linnet, making a total of twenty different species to my garden, possibly more.
My husband cut down an old pear tree in our garden leaving appx five feet of stump standing which now has a larger than average bird table secured on top of it, (which he made). It's regularly visited by an abundance of bird's and our two resident squirrels, who appear quite happy to share .
Anyhow, enough about that, just wanted to introduce myself,
