| Re: wild mink I have seen quite a few when fishing. I once watched a family of them round up ducklings on a small reservoir, then one of the young ones appeared from the water at my feet. The look in its eye said it would kill me if I weren't so big.
A few years ago when we were relatively new to our Highland retreat, my wife said she had seen a mink. I said I was doubtful if they had spread so far north, could it be an otter? She said no, because she had also seen one of those. We have seen both many times since. It is a relief that the otters don't seem to be affected by the presence of the mink - but all the same, I wish they could be wiped out. |
