Gill, you have touched on a point of irony here. You see, in spite of the inclination of some people (not, I hasten to say, prevalent on this forum) to vilify anglers along with others involved in countryside activities, the truth is that nobody but anglers is interested in the fish for their own sake.
There is no lack of photos of fish on the bank, but as Jonny says most of them would not fit in a tank - and those that do, we would not want to photograph.
Years ago I showed a 4lb chub to a non-angling friend who habitually swam in the River Wharfe at the place I caught it. He was amazed that such a (to him) huge creature existed in the river and I don't think he ever swam there again.
