I'm going to do that too jonny - thats what i meant about manning way points - however training for this kind of thing is v. v. arduous and takes a lot of grit, not short of guts myself but its a lot easier if there are two of you.
Also as you rightly point out if one runner is injured the other has a duty to abandon the attempt to help them to safety. However the flip side of this is that if I am injured at least I wont have to work out how the flip I'm going to get off tryfan ridge on my own with a busted ankle or something.
As i said I will do it alone if i have to but i would rather run with a mate. another option is to pull in one or both of my mates paul and jamie - both are frigteningly fit ( Paul is a major / brevet Light colonel in RGJ while Jamie is a captain in 2 para). however from a wab publicity point of view it would be better if both runners were wabbites. I cant believe that out of 2000 members I'm the only one who wants to do this.
