Ron - your new laptop sounds perfect and a bargain at that price - I have been looking at the same sort of spec and they are much more expensive. My budget is around £600. Which laptop do you have?
Thanks everyone for your advice which has been really helpful. Unless you have a lot of technical knowledge (which I don't) choosing a new laptop is a bit daunting so it is great to be able to ask advice from other users.
