The sailent point is that (within the laws of physics) there is no way of breaking the bonds in water to produce hydrogen which uses less energy than that created by the combustion which reforms these bonds.

and also as i said further up while it is perfectly possible to inject hydrogen into a deisel engine it wont make it run more efficiency in the long run because the engine seals arent made to take that much heat and will swiftly burn out. ( I suspect hondas 200k car was that expensive because they had to build the engine to resist the high temperatures caused by combusting hydrogen)
