hi and welcome to wab!! what a fantastic place to spend time!!! i love it up that way ,my friend stays around the coast a bit from gairloch on little loch broom. i've never read the mike tomkies book you mention but i have read a couple,one where he studies the eagles on the shore of loch shiel and when he stayed on eilein shona ,both near where i live ,he is a really good writer!!...enjoy your stay on wab any question just ask !!
