You lucky dog!

I have been searching for V. bombycina for years, and I've only seen it once.
I popped down to the New Forest yesterday, but not much luck. 1 slug eaten Boletus aereus, a small Leccinum crocipodium (or whatever the current name is), some young Hedgehogs and Chanterelles, and a young group of Armillaria tabescens. The highlight was inadvertently startling a Tawny Owl a few feet away, which flew a short distance, and perched again. Oh, and a Redstart.
Don't s'pose you'd let on the location of the V. bombycina? No! I don't blame you.

Not sure I would, except to someone I knew.
