Hello there. I'm David, a 48 year old psychiatric nurse from Nelson in North East Lancashire. Not really a place where you might expect to find nature red in tooth and claw, but it's (East Lancashire that is) improving, if you discount the incredible and completely insane amount of bl@@dy litter and over the d@mn place. The sooner this country imposes ferociously swingeing taxes on useless packaging the better. But I digress...
I find fungi fascinating, think trees are terrific and wildflowers are wonderful. I've always been interested in the 'old' countryside. I was introduced to it by my grandfather in Buckinghamshire in the 60's. He used to tell me tales of when he worked on the land in the early 1900's, took me round, showed me what was what. Fine man. I'm very keen on digital photography and can't wait to get some images up for you to share. I came across the forum when I was looking on the internet to help me identify a flower, the like of which I had never seen before.... |
