ok i used some cat food, dog buiscets and seedy granery bread mixed with water, and i used tweezers to feed him it like the mummy bird
he is eating fine- and chirrups when he wants food. he is happy to perch on my finger while i feed him, or equally happy in his little box of hay which he uses as a nest.
he is also half hopping, half flying short distances, so i think he will soon be able to fly free.
thanks for the info- i will continue feeding him and looking affter him... how should i release him when he is ready to go? should i just leave him in the garden to fly away on his own, or keep him in his box so he can come and go or what?
