For England it is the only
Porphyrellus (see
Basidiomycota Checklist-Online - Country Species List ) but there are about 40 internationally (see
Porphyrellus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) I only suggested it because I found a matching photo in my archive and couldn't exclude it.
I think your probably right about
Leccinum scabrum but like you I just can't see enough of the stem detail to be sure
