Adders are a protected species and are still persecuted by some, although I'm sure you have the very best intentions and are very genuine. Heathland by the coast is an excellent area for them so I would start by looking there. Also asking at any reptile groups in the area could possibly be an option. I've never been to the Brecon beacons but I'm sure they do have an
Adder population so maybe asking the locals would shed some light. If you need any more advice I'm happy to help out. I know how you feel. I would love to see a
