I woke up this morning, to the sound of crows above the house chasing a sparrowhawk away. The sparrowhawk did become a little, shall we say, peeved, and attacked the crow, but later disappeared.
What is very interesting is to watch when the 4/5 buzzards come down close to the tree that the kite/s are sitting in. The kites let them come so close, then they are off, chasing the buzzards.
Buzzards and kites usually live pretty much ok side my side, but they can become very agressive in the breeding season, when the buzzard attempts to come into the immediate nesting area. |
