When Steve Irwin died the Australian government handed over 120 hectares of land to Terri and Australia Zoo to serve as a memorial to the late, great wildlife warrior. However it has just come to light that this land is now under threat by miners who want to strip mine it. The miners are after an ore called borite...now borite absorbs water during the wet season and releases it slowly over the dry season thus supporting the amazing wildlife that reside on the land and it's eco system. The Australian government is going back on it's word after dedicating this huge and unique area of land as anature reserve by allowing the miners to attempt to gain access and mine there. Now Terri Irwin has decided to fight the battle and stop them from stepping foot inside this amazing place but she needs everone's help too.....so if you can do one good thing today...sign this petition and help preserve this unique land and all it's wildlife just as Steve would have wanted.
