I also feed all year round although perhaps reduceing the number of feeders in the summer months but am rewarded by many different resident birds that almost seem to know me and wait looking through the windows if I'm a bit late 'topping up'

Always seem to get one or two individual birds I can recognise and that seem tamer than the others. Our Robin will sit on the hanging table whilst I put the food out. The Blackbird with a love of sultanas, I can easily recognise him because he is a bit on the small side for a Blackbird and of course he allows me to walk right up to him without flying off.
