We have a shop now opened in Mere Green high street that just sells fireworks. It was being fitted out yesterday, as I passed, and no doubt will close as soon as Bonfire night is over. What on earth is the need for fireworks this premature to Bonfire night? (Just goes to show what profits are being made by these companies) In my experience fireworks (not let off on Nov 5th) are let off to cause the greatest annoyance to those they are targetting and anyone that lives close to a hospital will hear a massively increased level of sirens on bonfire night. I am all for organised parties, the likes that the military put on for example, but is there any requirement for private individuals to host there own three minutes of 'fun'?
It should be illegal to sell fireworks before 3rd November, then not after the 5th.
