I recently took both of these photos at two different locations in N.Ireland and thought that they were both Wood Anenomes. My knowledge of wildflowers is very limited and on looking at the photos I became unsure of my identification. My doubts are the number of petals which seem to be six or seven as well as the differing shape of the petals. Some seem to overlap quite a bit whilst other petals appear quite separate. An ID would be great as well as any further information about these wildflowers.
