a few from here, naer cast a cloot till may be oot. meaning the hawthorn or may tree be in blossom!. a rowan tree planted in your garden, will keep away witches, and if there is a lot of berries in autumn ,winter will be bad. a bird getting into your house is a sign of bad luck to come.
