That's a great chart, John. BUT, the problem is whenever I have found a new fungus and tried to identify it in a similar way to the one you are suggesting (using a couple of well-thumbed little books and the Internet), I
always get it wrong.
As I have found to my great dismay
, the pictures tell only a tiny fraction of the full story. I am so disillusioned that I wonder whether I should even bother.
So, I am not convinced that your system will help. Or am I just completely stupid? No - don't answer that.
