Our Gardens

Reading some of the comments on WAB and looking at photos I have been thinking that a lot of members must have interesting gardens so I thought I would share mine with you:

I am so proud of my garden which has been completely done from a wilderness that existed with the rundown, empty property that I bought!

The Summerhouse/shed was built by a very clever friend of mine mainly from recycled wood etc costing not much more than a 'shop bought 8'x10' shed'

I love the pond or perhaps I should call it a lake! It took a lot of back breaking digging but is worth every minute. It attracts lots of wild birds who love the shallow edges and waterfalls to bathe in. I have also become the 'rescue centre' for fish that become too big for other peoples ponds. Unfortunately I struggle to appreciate the visiting heron who seems unaware that the ornamental heron stood by the pond should scare him away! Using some of the left over pond liner a bog garden was built adjacent to the pond to allow the growing of plants which would have been difficult because of the heat from being in south facing sun.

What is your garden like I would love to see it and we could all share ideas?

Linda
