http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=425 could also be a Fox Moth larva. Both larva are possible for where found -Cliff tops at Manorbier, plenty Heather - Gorse - Bramble. Found middle of the day lying on the cliff path so unable to identify its food plant.
