Something I would like to find is one the largest of our squat lobsters - Galathea strigosa. It's lobster like, body length up to 90mm, aggressive, red and bright blue. Anyone found one in a rockpool? |
Are they the only species of Squat Lobster with blue lines across the shell? A few years ago I found a small Squat Lobster with blue lines on the red shell at Studland beach in Dorset, however it was after a storm and I've never seen one since, so I don't think it's a regular spot for them.
Personally, I'd love to see a live Lobster (that hasn't been caught by someone preferably!)
