Well I have been looking at the latest UK Met Office model output, and things look pretty settled for the foreseeable future.
Any unsettled weather plaguing northern and western coasts should eventually clear during the remainder of this week, although some light rain and drizzle, of the stubborn sort, can never be ruled out for said areas.
The weekend looks increasingly dry and settled, with high pressure firmly in charge of our weather. Temperatures by day will be at, or just above average. Possibly becoming frosty at night in sheltered areas.
Next week continues in a similar vein, with high pressure pretty much on top of the UK, so you can expect dry, sunny weather, especially inland. Mild by day, cool or cold at night.
Later next week, things become less clear, and the forecast becomes less reliable, but it looks fairly likely that this high pressure will be difficult to shift, so it could well remain settled.
