We are really discussing governments stances on this isssue, here & the marches.
In my opinion, the government are only bothered about this & probably any other issue when it suits them. This will never be allowed to interfere with the economy or business.
They were probably more interested in how much the fat folk & smokers were costing the NHS & industry through sickness than any real concern for the individual.
They don't seem keen on puplic opinion or referendums between elections either, unless of course they are sure it will go their way & they can then create the illusion of caring. |
