Mine for yesterday was a group of Roe Deer at one of my regular local haunts. I`d spotted a lovely conditioned buck in full velvet grazing in the middle of a field of rough grassland, and was busy crawling towards him to get within range for a pic or three. Unbeknown to me, there were 4 others to my right, totally obscured by the tall grasses as they grazed. Was just about the get close enough to start shooting the buck, when the others became aware of my presence and bolted, taking the buck with them too. So no pics this time, but a nice sight all the same.
Crawling through 2 inches of water in a flooded field was no fun though (and probably did my arthritis a world of good - i was a stone heavier with waterlogging by the time i went home

).
