Since it's nearly upon us..here's one for Imbolg / Candlemass biscuits.
2oz butter 1tbs honey (not strong flavoured one) 1 egg yolk 2oz plain flour 2oz finely ground hazelnuts 0.25tsp cinnamon or allspice 0.25tsp vanilla essence icing sugar or melted plain chocolate.
1. preheat oven to 325F
2. blend butter, honey, vanilla and egg yolk together.
3. then mix in the rest
slowly.
4. Roll out and cut into crescent moon shapes.
5. bake for about 10 - 15 mins. and cool.
6. Either dust with icing sugar or coat all or half of them with melted chocolate.
Best eaten in a woodland glade in the moonlight!
