Thank you both for your kind welcome, and yes i am an ex-pat of 7yrs now
time has flown by (well it does when you spend your life looking at the forna & flora of this wonderful place. I have never been to Cornwall so i can't make the comparison but the fact that there are quite a lot of "pasties" here possibly gives the answer!
The wildlife here is so special, we have a family of
Otters in the nearby lake and very ofter see the kingfisher fishing,
Badgers are closeby too & unfortunately one family is missing their dad as some nasty driver hit him on the lane - that part i find particularly saddening but 'c'est la vie dans la campagne';
