| Hello from a Newbie in France!
Hello everone!
Apologies for posting from France but my heart belongs to England!
I'm an avid wildlifer but cannot find any info on a perculiar sound I have often heard close to cuckoos. I can only describe it as similar to one of those metal wobble boards Rolfe Harris used to play, but maybe softer.
There are lots of cuckoos here in the Charente and I've heard this strange sound on many occassions. In England only a few times when I lived in a remote part of the North York Moors.
Can anyone identify this sound from my painfully inadaquate description?
