I think it do -at least on the 20/30/40D series but it is buried in the custom settings bit of the menu. I cant tell you exactly where as the manual is in the loft and i'm not going up there at this time of night

also note that the bog standard cable releases you buy in jessops and such wont fit a canon dslr - you need the much more expensive electronic release.
