They are certainly fascinating plants +at least 2 species have naturalised in a few places- S. flava + S. purpurea.
When I was a youngster I had a Sarracenia in a pot on my parent's coal bunker + remember seeing wasps + even ladybirds disappear down the urns! Perhaps not what you want, but I wouldn't have thought they would impact on insect populations too much. |
