you should invest in some chest waders, though mind you last time I went newt (egg) surveying I fell out of the boat whilst wearing chest waders (low points for both artistic interpretation and technical merit
) and then found that I couldnt stand up because my chest waders were full of water
Fortunately the brook wasnt very deep so I just sat there like a large, sub aquatic budha, until my stalwart colleagues stopped laughing and pulled me out.
