Young birds need a lot of insects caterpillars and similar juicy stuff then they go onto grain,and seeds in the thread decline of the sparrow is a link to a research paper if you are interested.Incidently if things keep flying into your glass is it not time you took the temptation away? could the little sparrow have been blind if it keeps bumping into things?
