| Eagle owl release Some years ago, whilst visiting Matlock in Derbyshire, we were astonished to see a large bird of prey emerge from a wood as we made our way back into Matlock. Reporting same to our landlady, she told us that it was only one of a number of animals and birds - in this case probably an eagle owl - released by activists who objected to them being held in captivity locally. Unfortunately, these creatures were unable to fend for themselves and there was a danger of them dying as a result.
Better to leave such releases to the experts maybe, to avoid the demise of the hunter or its would-be prey. |
