Hello devon, and welcome.

I was just wondering, as you're in north Devon, are you familiar with Peppercombe Valley? Its a glorious wooded valley running down to the sea, about half way between Bideford and Hartland (privately owned but with a public footpath running its length).

I spent a couple of holidays there when I was a teenager (about 40 years ago) and just starting to get interested in nature, and the wildlife there was fantastic. I have often wondered how the place has fared since. Do you know it at all?
