Hi Doug

Yep - after Mars, Saturn will be the next planet to come to opposition - in March (Mars hits opposition on Xmas eve)

As you say, currently roughly SSW at around 6:30-7:00am - if anyone is a 'night-owl' and doesn't like early mornings, Saturn will be climbing across the South-East around 2:00am.
The rings will be totally edge-on to us in a year or so - so it's best to grab a look as soon as poss before that happens
