Hi Chris, I won't critique it as such, just tell you why I like it. The deer is in the shade but you have still retained the colours of the animal nicely. I like how it goes from dark green (the shade) to light green where the sun is obviously out. The background is nicely muted so as not to distract from the deer, but still allows us a sense of the habitat of the animal.
