| Last year I saw a poster, I think it was a company called inFocus that advertised open days for testing their range of binoculars and scopes. They had a list of dates for touring the country and were setting up displays at bird hides and nature reserves. It could be a good way for you to have a go with lots of different models.
That said, I've never really got the hang of using binoculars and always find them a bit awkward to use with double vision being the ususal result, so instead I've opted for a small pocket-size scope form Jessops. It was only £20 but as I'm not an avid birdspotter it does the job for occasional use. |
