There are quite a few Lactarius that resemble your specimen. I am tempted to wonder about Lactarius tabidus, which is very common but I can only give a guess from the photo. When collecting Lactarius, it pays to break a specimen, and dab some milk on a white tissue. Sometimes the milk changes colour after a minute or so. Sometimes the flash changes colour. It also pays to record the nearby trees though I can see Beech leaves in the photo.
I also wonder if the second is a Tawny Funnel Cap despite the pale colouration. | I didnt use the flash ..and yes there were Beech trees around..thanx for the advice on the tissue will remember that for next time...Thanx for the pointers will check them out later ...
