Someone saying they have a photo of a black cat means very little, there are plenty of people who are less wildlife friendly out there that would want a large predator dead so it doesnt kill livestock attack people, im sure plenty of farmers and game keepers would'nt keep it quiet. And if you did have a good photo and didnt want the cat hurt then why not just keep tthe location secret

I have a tendency to agree with you here. How many WAB'ers get out in the field with cameras ready not to mention others interested in wildlife. Surely if there are significant numbers of big cats roaming the British countryside we would have seen a pic by now?
